The Haveley road scheme gave the client the single point responsibility they especially wanted for their first modular homes project. Dealing with all post planning, building regulation approvals, legal agreements such as highways section 278. Multibuild UK undertook the complete design and construction of foundations, drainage and incoming, infrastructure services. The execution of the Section 278 works to sign off, external works, groundwork, landscaping, garden walls, railings, fencing and garden sheds.
Manufactured off-site volumetric steel framed modular units where constructed concurrently with the groundwork’s on site. Each property contained 2 bedrooms, lounge/dining, bathroom & kitchen, loaded onto a wagon and craned into position on the prepared foundations.
The modular off-site solution was a main driver for the client who wished to minimize disruption and neighborhood complaints that typically accompany the traditional construction method. It delivered with no complaints received from the neighborhood and a beyond compliance certificate from considerate contractors.
