Gas Industry Registration Scheme (GIRS)
Lloyd’s Register operate, on behalf of the UK Gas Transporters, the Gas Industry Registration Scheme. Under its auspices Lloyd’s Register perform technical assessments of utility infrastructure providers (UIPs), who elect to be assessed for accreditation for work associated with the construction of new gas infrastructure operating up to 7 bar pressure.
Multi Utility UK has full accreditation for the design, construction, commissioning, connections and project management of gas networks. In addition, all its contractors are Gas Safe Registered. This is the only official register for gas safety in the home or workplace in the UK, which means that whenever one of our gas engineers carries out work in your property, they will be fully registered.
National Electricity Registration Scheme (NERS)
Lloyd’s Register operates, on behalf of the UK Distribution Network Operators (DNOs), the National Electricity Registration Scheme. Under this Scheme we hold Full Accreditation in the following disciplines-
Electrical Design of Distribution Networks Covering (HV Cable Networks 11kV / S/Station 11kV / LV Cable Networks to Domestic Properties)
Substation installation (11kV)
Cable laying (LV,11kV)
Cable jointing (dead LV, live LV and 11kV)
Water Industry Registration Scheme (WIRS)
This scheme is operated by Lloyds on behalf of the Water UK and the water utilities, and is the new Water Industry Registration Scheme. The scheme represents part of an ongoing process to facilitate multi-lay for service providers.
